Artists

Artists we’re currently working with on various projects:

- Speak Galactic
In September 2012 we put out album number 2 “Severed” (preceded by a 2-track download single “Precautionary Measures”) by Owen Thomas & Jim Morrison, aka ambient-noise-pop duo Speak Galactic. We first saw Speak Galactic at the One-Inch Badge ‘Sea Monsters’ festival in January 2010, then off the back of that asked him to support at the Jeniferever show we put on at the Green Door Store the following April. Since then they’ve gone from strength to strength, playing at Playgroup Festival, Alternative Escape & Beatabet Binge whilst also supporting the likes of Laetitia Sadier (Stereolab), Yeti Lane and Ensemble Economique amongst others.

- Lee Clayden (solo artist)
We’re working on developing Lee’s talent through his new solo career in a management & release role, following on from years of prolific songwriting in bands such as Caledonians, Manager, The Soviet Union and The Righteous Ones of the Rockets. Lee’s debut solo EP is nearly ready, expect it soon!

- Kicking Nines
In 2007 we put out the ‘Tiger Diamonds’ EP with down-tempo drum & bass rising star Kicking Nines (limited copies still remain in our shop, grab one now before they run out of print). We’re currently working together once again towards his currently-untitled debut album release, currently scheduled for early-mid 2013.

Artists we’ve worked with in the past:

- Tyrannosaurus Dead
In what will hopefully be the first part of a long-lasting relationship between CM and Tyrannosaurus Dead, we put out the debut EP from Brighton/London-based alt-rockers Tyrannosaurus Dead in November 2011. They’ve moved on to work with Manchester/London/Brighton/Cardiff label Reeks of Effort for the moment but we’re all firm friends and it’d be lovely to work with them again.

- The Astronauts
In 2010 we put out the long-awaited ‘Donkey Riding’ EP (sold out) by these Welwyn Garden City-based anarcho folk-punk legends and we’re hoping to continue to work with them in the future!

The Otters
Featuring the irrepressible and legendary Mark Astronaut (of fellow CM band ‘The Astronauts’), The Otters have been making a collective noise since 2003 and have a string of extremely well-received EPs and Singles behind them now. In 2007 we put out the ‘Be Back Soon’ CD Single/EP as our very first release. Now long sold-out, it’s now available for free download alongside some other Otters/Astronauts bits on Bandcamp.
